I think some of you have the wrong definition of a psychological tag a psychological tag does not equal rape. For something to be a psychological thriller/yaoi it can contain a lot of ways of manipulation and other type of things that can play with the character’s psyche not “The uke gets kidnapped and is in shackles and gets raped = psychological and to whoever that can’t take such a little thing YOU GUYS JUST DONT KNOW WHAT A PSYCHOLOGICAL TAG IS” I think this is a common misconception in the yaoi fandom. Maybe i just have my hopes to high to finally find a good yaoi with more depth and actually psychological manipulation and not just rape

i think it’s psychological in the sense that they both have trauma and the blonde one definitely has some kind of personality disorder, also being confined and sa’d causes psychological distress/trauma

Psychological tag could have rape. Psychological could mean that it’s either the characters are messed up or it would mess up your brain. You just don’t like stories with rape in it, but rape could be included in psychological stories. Also, captivation is also one of the most common forms of psychological trauma but you seem to ignore that and focus on rape before yapping.

Also, this is “psychological” not “psychological horror”. Learn the difference before yapping nonsense.

I’m not attacking you, it’s just weird when I read your comment and interpreted it as “This story is just rape and not psychological” when in fact it is psychological. It’s giving off “oh you were kidnapped? That’s not traumatic at all so why are you crying?” or “you were raped? That’s not psychologically traumatizing” vibes.

Also, the ml is manipulative and he held uke as captive so that’s the kind of “psychological” this is story is going to be so I don’t know what you’re expecting tbh...

ML didnt really manipulate ukr though he just kept him captive he didnt manipulate him into getting into that situation with him again which is why I dodnt consider that as manipulation

I wasnt trying to belittle the experience of rape I was just taking about how some people interpreted psychological as automatically rape which I thought was wrong

In a nutshell my comment was more to say that a psychological story doesnt have to have rape in it. I think you misinterpreted what I meant to say

He was manipulative but he didn’t manipulate the mc to hold him captive. He was manipulative prior to the kidnapping and after he kidnapped the mc which is why you could see him getting confused and guilty. Guiltripping is a form of manipulation that everyone tends to forget because of how common it is. Also, MC’s “mother” is hinted to be corrupt that affects both ML and MC’s life.

I get your point now, but still leaves a bitter taste ‘cause you seem to disregard everything that could be considered psychological just because there’s rape in it and you think rape is not psychological.

The main idea of psychological scenario here is the captivation arc. It’s been shown at the very beginning as well.
