Ofcourse FL doesnt have to reciprocate his feelings but at the very least she can acknowledge his feelings and set boundaries. But would you not say the same for the ML? Sure you can argue that the reason ML doesn’t speak up or ask the FL questions is bc he’s emotionally not well and insecure about where he stands. And that’s a human thing. But why is that not applicable to the FL? Why is the FL meant to be a perfectly written love interest who is always understanding of the emotional vulnerability of the ML when she herself is just as human and just as flawed as the ML and so would have insecurities and flaws of her own? They’re both unable to confront this misunderstanding between them for personal reasons and fears of their own, however different they may be. That is the very core of the problem theyre facing rn.
You're totally right. I agree with you but maybe im biased or maybe i sympathize with ML too much. I cant see him suffer. And i feel like he is making an effort not to disturb her or her work life. He is trying not to bother or burden her with his feelings. I mean atleast he tried(except he ended up confessing again). I wish FL to grow as well. She cant always run away and ik she'll have a character development. But i just cant see him suffer.
