As i said soul swapping doesn't happens in real life. And legally it does not considered as pedophile. ( pedophile is someone who is grooming or dating a minor) and legally 18 is a adult age. Law does not work on what people think.
And in the story the old man didn't initiated anything. even after knowing about everything the ML chose to be with him. Nothing was forced ,uncensual and illegal. If people don't want to read it that's that but calling writer weird for writing something which is not toxic like other stories is wrong (︶︿︶)
