It is a fictional story where anything can happen. Erasure of queer media in East asia is a real thing, I would know because I LIVE there. But sure you can just go on arguing about this but I'm done. I'm not arguing with someone who doesn't even read the material
I thought the author was trying to get rid of any shounen ai/yaoi stuff, especially with the anime announcement. Yet in this chapter, we have clear hints with Yoshiki saying "I always had to hide the person I was", or he blushing when Hikaru took his shirt off.
It's cool it wasn't removed completely.
