I think she's doing that on purpose. She says she can't sympathize with other people but when she meet the mc she can relate what he's going through. 1. Maybe she wants to heal him with her own hands without being dependent on drugs 2. Maybe she wants him to stay like that ( she only want to observe him,not heal him) 3. Like his classmate, she has an special identity

unless the psychiatrist is supposed to be fucking him over?? if that's the case there's no indication of it in the visuals.
from her perspective this guy literally thinks he's seeing angels and shadow creatures and is actually hearing voices which is *severe*, like, inpatient level severe. Meds would be frontline treatment alongside therapy for his trauma for someone like that (speaking from personal experience). And getting a "serious drug addiction" from psych meds what even is that??? fuck off....
