There are two genres...... Shounen ai and yaoi where shounen ai is completely no se* while yaoi is full of it.......
It's not about generalizing it's about how even tho we knw its yaoi and consist se* its just that the s** scene starts way too early..... If the story is about f**k buddies or experience non virgin uke's makes sense but somthin even if the uke is pure....the story goes straight into s** scene after they(uke and seme) make up.... that's what I'm trying to say

You've just read less bL than us that means...... There are some yaoi which has plots but overall there's always s** scene. The art is good, the story is great but then later on there's just se* each chapter. They make up thry have se* , they fight they hsve se*. Somtimes there's just no plot or the plot gets vanished this is why I said what I said. There's a huge difference between yaoi and shounen ai. I've also read a lot of shounen ai n I still do read and there's also yaoi which doesn't have much se* but still there's lot more yaoi with more se* scene evn if the story is good and interesting this is what I'm talking about.
Forget the popular ones I just kept them on my "want to read" list bcoz of the spoilers I saw on insta. But Overall atleast 60%-70% of the yaoi manhwa has lots of se* scene. And if there's less se* scene the plot is boring. Like a minimum 40% se* and 60% plot is somtimes what we want.

That's what we talking about the yaoi tag is for smut. Basically yaoi means smut.
Shounen ai means no smut (no yaoi)
This is how we differentiate between smut and no smut.
Guess u only read shounen ai. Because as someone whose been reading from 2019........I've seen alot of bL where smut is more. Not much bL has no smut scene if it does not have smut then the chapters are being released of 15+ and not 18+ for example the manhwa "No moral" this is a yaoi manhwa but the chapters are of 15+ where there's not much smut scene but in 18+ chapters there's lot.

Somtimes the tag are not given correctly where in this case there's no smut but the tag is yaoi (like Chinese manhua that revolves around animals having human body, it's not a popular one since the plot is similar to what we read in any manhua,manga, manhwa).
And so u say popular ones has more smut???? U gotta be joking. What about "japanese" manga's then??? They ain't evn popular but consist a lotta smut?. This are the most popular shounen ai and known non-smut bLs among the fujoshi's and fujodansi's. Not a single bL knws not know of this. Unless a person only reads yaoi and not shounen ai. N I don't get the fact y u think giving u shounen example were ridiculous because I was just stating the fact that even though there's no "ur so call popular are smut" shounen ai are also popular. And another reason why I said manga's are not popular is because they'll always either less chapters and sometimes not a satisfying end and somtimes they're never discussed like the ones you said "popular ones are smut" They're usually popular in the real world work as in physical book not online like how were reading by buying the officials. There's also hardly any recommendations of manga unless we search for it or see spoilers from random images. And this also a fact, manhwa's are more popular than manga which also everyone agrees with becoz manga's don't have color, it's just black and white so many others prefer colored this is why it's not so popular like manhwa's.
