I never saw it as a love triangle to begin with bcoz it's already in the title itself, work and love BALANCE. Doyeon's purpose is to strengthen both sides of Kang and Yiyoung's relationship coz they got a lotta fixing to do. One thing being Kang is insecure that's why he's possessive in an unhealthy way. After all, he was the one who told Yiyoung he should date more just coz he's young, and Kang is unaware that he's scared of that happening especially with Doyeon who he knows personally. So it's not the worst idea to introduce a new character bcoz it'll teach them how to set boundaries between co-workers on what's work and what's overstepping love boundaries.
