Well MC told sister she want nothing with, and dhe as the right to, but sistzr don't listen and insist (wich anyone would found annoying that someone want to force a relationship when you don't want to) so yes she kind of need to be harsh cause this kind of people never understand unless you hurt them (not obligatory physical hurt)
why must she be so cruel to her sister? the sister didn't do anything wrong the entire time she's been fighting to protect helga. even if she can't be around her bc it's too hard she does not have to be so cruel. even knowing he's being influenced with sinister powers she felt nothing? it doesn't make sense to me.
