Simply put, the pendant is a fake the painter created. Ines has the real pendant from her grandmother in her possession.

He was obviously trying to get Ines’s attention. Carcel is stationed in Calztela so he probably thought Ines would come to Calztela one day and see it.

How did Emiliano even got the medal in the first place? Like surely it wasn't an error in Ines place to accidentally gave the medal from her grandma's possession to sponsor out to artists. Im assuming she just game cash and not some jewels for them to pawn kr anything like that. That painting in their house also suspiciously looked like Emiliano (I'm digging into things too deep)
