his ahh just ptupid (too busy hiding from loan sharks and dealing with broken family to study)
I mean that could be a reason, but unless stated/ implied we can't really just assume that he has learning disability.
I'm not really one to shame someone for being stupid, but if you're asked any single digit multiplication and you can't answer, esp. at that age... I'm gonna shame you and everyone in your family.
