From the end of chapter 11/ begining of 12 she suspected something was up. She was in denial and didn't want to jump to any conclusions right then so she thought about it for a bit before confronting Haruki about it later. In the earlier chapters she's shown to be very oblivious to the things around her and she's failed to notice Hikaru's behavior change. I have no idea how she didn't see even the slightest hint that her son was depressed all these years. She saw Hikaru as the perfect, happy son. I'm not sure what exactly was said at the dinner table (Google translate is horrible) but she blamed Haruki and said he was a bad influence on Hikaru. Outside the restaurant Hikaru said something like "I wouldn't be able to live if Haruki hated me". She was shocked by that response and it wasn't until then that she noticed Haikaru had changed and that there was more to it than what she saw. While looking for evidence of the problem she may have found the blackmail video on Hikaru's laptop. When Hikaru returned home she asked him if he had a girlfriend and he implied he wasn't interested in girls. Not completely sure if she knows her son is the aggressor yet but that looks like where the story is headed.
