How the hell does a bone heal? Is it possible? I remember breaking my knee due to kick ball and the doctor said if I don’t get it fix then it will become of a situation of amputation. So is the situation different since it’s from an ankle or what? What’s the process of healing or it never heals since it’s broken? (I know I can google this but what’s the fun in that)

Bone literally grows new bone. So like they set it to put the broken pieces back together and then let them heal it grow back together

Oooooh really? Crazy how bodies just … know what to do. Now I wonder why the doctor said there’s a chance I would’ve been amputated, probably to scare me to accept the surgery.

It could have been because your bone shattered. That's harder to heal as there are literally bone shards in. And knees are a wonky bone to begin with. Someone said the knee bone attachment is the evolutionary equivalent of duck taping something together to make it work
