Technically you’re not supposed to bleed during your first time, if you’re aroused enough the hymen relaxes like other things and doesn’t need to be broken, but most women who have sex for the first time are too stressed/nervous so it gets broken, it’s a weird modern myth that persists till this day

I would also like to add. Yes the hymen being broken and bleeding for every woman's first is a myth. But additionally historical condoms where goat or other such animal intestines. I forget how far back they date, but to my knowledge they date back pretty far in most European countries.
