It's been a while since I read this, but if I remember correctly the little tiger (our mc) came down without permission, his brother came to save him and his dad came to save the brother. The dad and the brother got killed during that time by the humans. If my memory serves me right I think the father tiger saw me as weak hence didn't treat him like he did the mc's brother.
Or are you asking why mc came down from the mountain in the first place?
Yea, why did the MC came down from the mountain after his father and brother had died some times ago. How could the father see him as weak when he was just a cub?
