Leo isn't to blame for the rape tho. Clearly He didn't do his best in the relationship it self but there is no excuse for what JJis doing. No redemption from rape no matter how hurt he is

Oh, no definitely not! I was saying more so like, Leo is to blame for being part of the miscommunication. But yeah, definitely not to blame for the rape. This has been all on JJ. Honestly to me JJ is worse than Leo because to me Leo is an airhead and selfish but not doing it on purpose. I feel like if JJ would have told him from the beginning how he felt Leo would understand. But JJ sucks because he’s just being vindictive. Leo can’t fix what he doesn’t know.

Really glad I finished your thread. The last two sentences are exactly how the story was set up and we didn't need a sex scene every other chapter to stay interest. Certainly a lot of readers have been turned off by the latest chapter.

But too many people in the comments were going on about how Leo was wrong. Leo is self-absorbed, spoiled, and zealous; he had no bad intentions in their relationship. He thought everything was fine because JJ didn't say anything bothered him and their relationship had unequal growth as a result. JJ was such a green flag except for his problem to communicate, which ultimately led to the break up.

Now, Leo was a complete dumba** suggesting to be f*ck buddies but from his perspective:
1) his boyfriend let him go for little to no reason
2) his boyfriend immediately took himself out of his life, limiting opportunities to sit down and talk
3) his sisters' solution was to pull them together to talk without discussing it with him right when they got there so it created a situation that both parties didn't want to talk in
4) the above resulted in him being unable to talk to his sisters about how to go about fixing things with JJ because it didn't work when they tried
5) his life is literally going down the toilet so he is grasping at whatever he thinks he can retain a hold of

JJ has retained the same problem of not wanting to tell him what's been bothering him and talk it out. He knows Leo doesn't have the personality to know what's wrong but he expects him to like a girlfriend that gets jealous that her boyfriend was flirting with another girl in a dream she had. He's part dumba** too because he decided that physically hurting his ex would either make him feel better about it or it would send the message of how he felt in their relationship.

Once again, Leo has not picked up on any of this. If he has retained even one brain cell, he won't continue the F-buddy scenario. Unfortunately, it looks like the author is locked in. Now, the only way I see them opening up to talk to each other is if Leo breaks down and becomes emotionally vulnerable, like applying a crowbar to JJ's now toughened emotional shield.
