Aside from the last tidbit, most of the things you were frustrated about will kind of happen so I think you'll have something to look forward to (as long as the manhwa faithfully adapts the novel). The only thing I can say about ML is that he's not perfect and will have character development and so will MC (both in a positive way), as well as that red-haired guy. They're the product of the society and their experiences, and will naturally have preconceived notions of what must be and what shouldn't be.

It’s so good UGH I had a bad impression of ML and kinda everyone else besides MC and his deceased hunter colleagues at first bc wdym you want to disrupt MC’s peace just to fight him when he clearly doesn’t want to fight anymore if he disappeared after a death dungeon?? But I’m glad ML’s reason was a bit more mature than that.
I don’t agree with a lot of what ppl are saying abt MC either though, like ML saying that true arrogance is hiding your power? Like no it’s not lol? And that red hair guy who says MC is a coward for hiding, like my guy, he fought in the doomsday dungeon to save the world before you even had a stable income, who are you to condemn him??? Also, I wish people would just respect that MC wants to be retired. My man fought for 300 years straight, he deserves retirement. Hoping that there’s gonna be a segment where he explains that it actually took 300 years and all the suffering everyone went through. Whenever he thinks “if only we had this and this,” I get so sad bc I would be bitter af too. Like the hunters today have it sm easier than the first generation bro, the least you can do is appreciate that and respect the ppl who suffered for you.
I would also like to beg the author for side stories later on abt a parallel universe where MC’s bsf and the leader and all the hunters he was close to made it out of the dungeon together and they lived together in a cozy community, celebrating each other’s birthdays like they wanted to
