I think it's not about her being pretty or not but how she doesn't have any experience in the industry
I think it's metaphor for how she's different from the others, and how shell change things like she's obviously pretty other ppl commented that.

It's the story of her growing up to become a swan, like now she's an ugly duckling (metaphorically) since she's rash, stubborn, etc. (Cuz shes a child.. ) And maybe she'll change when she grows older
why is the title ugly duckling when she was never “ugly”
like, it’s one thing if we as a reader think she’s pretty but even the people in the manga knows she’s pretty
