i saw Rutger's (1.0) affection toward Leoni as some kind of a "trauma bonding" tho it's just on his side since in a way he saw himself in her as both of them were being abused, i still see it as green flag because he never force himself to Leoni and even tho it started as trauma bonding, i can still say it does develop into love.
Rutger (2.0)'s affection toward Leoni seems to be a love at first sight and then continuously fueled by admiration since MC has been girl bossing the enemies, not to mention she got him out of the palace and he experience being surrounded by good people.
