But it feels like the situation itself is intense but there's still some level of communication and vulnerability happening maybe ? But it is still stunted by the situation but in kind of a reasonable way imo
So the tense atmosphere isn't coming solely from a characters' toxic behavior like it does in a lot of typical yaoi
So yeah, I don't actually know but either way it's well written and engaging, so I'm definitely invested in the couple and hoping they come out healthy
It is absolutely toxic. Toxic relationships do not completely lack any and all communication. In fact, many toxic relationship have a ton of communication, but one or both parties will try to dominate and steer said conversation into their own point of view. The allusions the author makes to domestic violence aren’t done accidentally.
