To be honest I haven't thought so.
It's not like those "omg he cheated on me, but now he loves me so I love him" But is is, "Omg I cheated on her but I've realised I love her, and so I am going to act better"
But I kind of like it because the FL obviously has no desire for the man at the beginning. And yes he did cheat because he thought she was uninterested (which she was so, go her, boo him). But he suffers for it, and he knows he will never have her heart so ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ suffer bitch. She has a true love that he can never replace the same way.
Her "true love" is her second husband (I haven't read the novel spoilers but in my mind it's one of those relationships that ended not because they fell out of love, but the universe wouldn't let them be together). ML as in Carcel. Oscar deserves hell (first husband and a dude that should actually shoot himself in the dick).
No. Her relationship with Emiliano WAS NOT her true love. It was love but not her true love. Did you not realize he also came to paint her in the timeline she married the crown prince? How come she didn’t even notice him then? She only noticed him in the timeline she regressed because she was looking for a man to runaway with. Any good looking man would have been good enough for her. Author even said that Ines did not love the painter at the beginning when she ran away with him. It’s after they were ALONE together as fugitives and he treated her like a princess, unlike Oscar treated her, that’s when she learned to love him. So please do not go around telling new readers that he is her one true love.
As much as you also think Carcel is begging for Ines love, he is the only man in this story that she wasn’t open to loving. She treated him like someone she didn’t want to love from the beginning. Then why had she fallen for him when she was determined not to love him but divorce him instead? Why then did she fall for him? Because her heart began to love him NATURALLY. He wasn’t a fugitive with her. She was set on divorcing but in the end could not deny her heart even when her head was denying it.
You talk about Universe not letting Ines be together with the artist. Do you honestly think their love would have lasted when she even told the artist she loved her brother more than him, she missed her horse and she missed her brother? Ines was settling not living her best life. What did that love do for her as well? She was still selfish and self-centered. Watch how Carcel’s love transform her into the best version of herself because she wants to give him the best of herself. Her path was always meant to be Carcel who is the only man in this story she can truly be herself with and whom she can be equal with. That’s the whole point of the other two timelines. They prove that Carcel is her perfect match because the other two fell short and those two other men were never her match. They were the wrong path all along while Carcel was the only right path
Lol thanks for everybody’s responses. I think I’ll read it lol
(Also I already knew I was going to root for Carcwl since I saw the spoilers lol. I just didn’t want to go through angst of him constantly cheating or even treating her like shit or her continuously manipulating him more. But if this is the best healing timeline, I’ll read it!(the best timeline might’ve been the first timeline from the spoilers I read but idk lol)
Also, agree about the painter thing. From the spoilers I read, she showed affection for him, but he wasn’t her true love. I think it was just the story trying to spark more jealousy for Carcel, when in reality, Carcel and Inez were meant for each other, since the first timeline. He loved her in all the timelines and even tried to help her the best way he could, even when she chose another man. It just sucks that in this timeline he DOES cheat on her.
If she remembers her first timeline, I think she would feel the same and even more feelings for carcel that she did with the painter. Their love is true and they remain unhappy without the other in every timeline, and it’s just circumstances(fucking Oscar) that keeps them apart.
The author made sure that Ines fell for Carcel before she found out about her first life with him. She didn’t want Ines to be influenced by the first timeline memories. She’s basically showing that Ines cannot help but to love Carcel once she gets to know him and experience him. Ines herself even regrets not paying attention to Carcel in the previous timelines. That’s why she said in ep82 that she wanted to know more about him and read his letters again as though it was her first time reading them because this time she realizes what a treasure he is in her life.
Also, Ines and Carcel are well matched and the author makes sure to show this. Not only do they love and enjoy the same hobbies, even later on, they’re like partners in crime. The two of them left their kids so that they could live for two years on an exotic island and when they returned, both of them were in the doghouse together because their kids saw them as strangers. It was so hilarious how they tried to console each other to cope with the fact that their twins were rejecting them hard. lol
Oh, my apologies. From the webtoon, it seemed sentimental, where she only said that it was miserable because they were poor, but she liked him.
I do think it was a bit much to call it "true love" but it showed that during her time with Carcel, she did think about the painter, and Carcel knew she was thinking about someone else.
I think Carcel should suffer, and suffer bad. Can't just fuck multiple women and turn around and say ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I've realised I love you the whole time. Nah, trash. But with a hot body.
Of course she thinks about the painter. The author said she’s a murderer who cannot forget her guilt for even a moment. She believes she led an innocent man to his death and killed his child and feels extremely guilty about it. Why does she have seizures when she thought he might have remembered her? Do people have seizures and hyperventilate when they think of a past lover? Only Oscar and the painter triggered seizures, memory loss and hyperventilation in her. Not once in any timeline has Carcel caused her seizures and any of those things. He’s always the one protecting her even when she’s with other people.
As to Carcel suffering, dream on. He did absolutely nothing to warrant suffering. Ines doesn’t even care about his life before marriage. So if you’re hoping he will suffer and suffer, you’re reading the wrong story. The author is not some immature thinker. And in case readers don’t get it yet, Carcel can live just fine without Ines’s love. He’s a person who’s happy if she’s happy even if she’s with someone else. That’s because unlike others, his love is genuinely true.
So true. But I also like to think that the reason she fell for the painter was because of her first life with carcel ;; like, she didn’t remember it, but the doting nature of the painter might’ve made her soul relate it to carcel. (Cause she mentions how carcel’s doting nature reminded her of the painter once)
Carcel has also suffered from the regret and guilt of his actions, especially after Inez collapsed. He remained loyal, despite getting the go ahead, and he clearly was not going to cheat after marriage. He’s a lot better than the other guys in the story, who think cheating is fine after marriage. He ALSO GETS CONSENT. Like, it’s the bare minimum, but he also goes beyond for her!
Also pretty privilege, cause the man’s handsome as fuck, but idc lol—
She thought about the painter bc she felt guilty for causing him to die so she can only think about good things about him but will nvr show that she didn't live a good life with him. It's from Emiliano's pov that we will get to see that she didn't even live a good life and was having seizures from remembering about Oscar.
Your feelings about Carcel is just stupid. Why should Carcel suffer? Why is he called a trash when he got every right to sleep with whoever he wants. Ines didn't even care to be a good fiancee to him herself, forced him into the engagement and marriage and didn't even try to work it out with him when he did tried. He only gave up after seeing how she kept turning him away. I swear ppl like you would be like if a man forced a woman to engage and marry him but he don't try to treat her good, you'll be happy if the woman sleeps around.
So obvious you don't even know what OP is talking about when OP said Oscar and that's not Carcel. Ines' "true love" is Carcel not Emiliano bc it'll show that they were the ones who really married and were in love in the rl 1st life. She just forgot about him and fell for Oscar in 2nd life, then married him, killed herself. In 3rd life, she ran away with a stranger she just met and marry the stranger. In 4th life, she end up with the person she was always fated with, Carcel. Emiliano would've nvr been her true love bc he can nvr make Ines truly happy. Carcel is the only one who can.
Kinda harsh and unwarranted.
I was talking about a fictional character. "People like you" why are you insulting me? I am allowed to have opinions that you do not agree with you, but it does not give you the right to talk to people like that and insult them....
Also, Carcel should suffer because he was ENGAGED, and slept with a multitude of women. This harmed Ines' reputation, whether she cared or not, people's dislike for her amplified when it was a rumour that even her own fiance didn't want her. She wouldn't have been as outcasted and as hated by her mother in that timeline, if Carcel kept it in his pants. Doesn't matter if she didn't care, we can clearly see that when she is married to him and people start treating her better, she is much happier.
He also kept delaying the marriage and what not. For what??? Because she didn't act OVERLY in love with him, and she was MENTALLY SICK when he came to visit??? When he found out about her illness, it clicked in his mind that she wasn't "ignoring him" the way he thought she was, she was having SeZIURES, and was secluded. And he feels like scum because of this revelation.
Ines also didn't sleep around when her soon to be was picking up whatever STDS he could find (well I would think so, especially if I had Oscar as a past husband). She also didn't force any engagement, she wanted the engagement to be broken. In fact HE forced her to do a lot of things, that she simply didn't mind or cared for. I mean, if my fiance fled to the military and didn't even have the balls to cancel the engagement (he didn't even try), I would've kicked him in the nutsack. Yeah sure he asks for consent when he has sex, and he's hot, but he spies around in her private life to see if she's having an affair (Hypocritical) and refuses to have a baby with her in the beginning when thats something that she wants and NEEDS to fulfill as the bride.
I do not condone cheating in any way or form. I do condone strong women, and Ines is a strong woman. I do not need some pretty boy who had his fun having flings, (doing something Ines expected him to do, but that made him mad that she wasn't mad, and further drove him crazy) to then be like ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ my wife, my beautiful wife.
Scum, dirt. I swear if he didn't ask for consent for sex, and Ines was more mad and less apathetic, people would hate this character so much more.
Look I don't hate him. He is just hot scum and Ines can have who ever she wants. its PEOPLE LIKE YOUUU that would blame the woman if her man was cheating on her :/

Spoiler but I feel like everybody knows at this point:
Bro, why did Oscar cheat in the second life if he spent that much effort trying to marry mc, wtf is wrong with him
Also idk if I’ll read this cause I kinda don’t want a stress ulcer lol
