I dropped this for the same reason, you should read it and just skip the rape scenes. Without the rape scenes, it will just look like they are in weird/toxic situationship.

I'd advice to skip too if u can't handle them but their thought processes afterwards are related to the scenes so I'd advice to try reading them I'm sounding harsh but welllll....
