ikr??? it's so baffling how his team is so indifferent to him leaving mid season. boyfriend aside, he's I guess the lead mechanic? if it were to happen in f1 it'd be soooo scandalous
I believe talks about him leaving were happening for a long time and most of everyone is supportive of JJ gaining more experience. I don't know squat about racing but my best guess is creative liberties by the author lololol

I'm more shocked over the fact that JJ is allowed to ditch his current team and join another one mid season with like 0 repercussion. First of all wouldn't that get him flagged/blacklisted and shouldn't his team be pissed at him?
F1 races produce a lot of money and his team is the top dog in this story so it's very odd that he's allowed to just switch like that.
Like imagine if one of the top mechanics in McLaren decided to drop them mid season... I'm pretty sure the executives would make it so that mechanic never works in the industry again. Plus it's a breach of contract as well
