Now kids lets sit down and I'll tell you how this story goes
In their first life seme (Emperor) and uke (Commoner I think) were indeed married but uke was forced into it, he already loved someone else, seme fell for uke and became obsessed with him, forcing him into marriage and even killing all nobles that were against it
Uke then tried to run with his lover from Emperor but to no surprise they were caught and seme killed uke's lover right in front of him
Seme locked uke in palace and often visited him, uke became soulless
After some time uke died and for sinning by taking his own life, he paid with eternal karma
At the same time devastated seme went to numerous shamans and threatened them to bring him somehow back, they all told him it's not possible but one shaman gave him different solution and it was connecting their souls to each other
Seme will always find him, in every life
At the end it ends with uke paying his sins off with falling in love and ending with seme aka his own "Unhappy ending" and he will even see his past life lover happy with someone else but he will only feel relieved
