And it's a lot
So, quick thingy, I'm heavy into genderbender things, and I'm fashion envious of females alot, so the chances of me being transfem are high, but I'm "ignoring" it because nothing that I have (looks, personality, money for clothes, community) can support me being trans. However, I wish to review this from the pov I hold.
First: The leack of concent in the beggining is very concerning, it gets better as it goes on, but at the start the Love interest (will call ML as MC is Fem for most) is very 'rapey' I think the start was mostly made early in the concept of the manga and so was more prepped for a shorter series, one that would have ended earlier and had a swap back earlier, at least it feels to me like that
Second: This was the first Genderbender I read, I have since read many others, but I feel that this one manages to find a niche that works well, Its a little bit too non-serious to be in the huge 'Gender identidy confusion' thing that Boku Girl has (which Boku Girl also has heavy comedy, but overall the story is treated as more serious) while still touching on the subject, it also however, doesn't treat the genderswap as a huge focus, the 'Getting back to being a guy' at least to me takes the B-Plot, it focuses more on the characters within it, and how they interact, the daily life so to say.
This manga is an excellent startin point as it takes itself lightly while still covering the tropes of this genre, however, its also an excellent talk on what it means to be 'someone' and ignoring the simple fact of their gender, I will say that when I first read this I was still under the complete assumption I was cis-hetero, and at the time I treated this as a kink manga, a what-if style thing. it gets serious enough in the last arc to touch on the subjects its been building towards. Personally IF there was a drink to trans ones gender, I'd probably drink that shit... but I really liked reading this sorta stupid romance genderbender hentai. 4.5 out of 5, only thing its missing is some form of seriousness earlier in the manga, The art is amazing, plots alright, tropes are there and mostly well used, would have liked to see less 'weak female' trope, would have actually loved an arch where FL and ML worked out or trained to get her able to defend herself a little.
