this goes with all the straight romance ones too with the whole taming the beast etc and its just a melanated man
unless it's the ice cold duke of the north trope every 'beast' in manhwas and mangas are melanated men and it's never a girl either, I don't think I've ever seen a girl with melanin in anything unless it's a gyaru side character
The adventurer manga I'm reading right now has a side character girl with melanin, with a quiet and capable personality. We don't see her often but it's more positive than many portrayals.
I have to agree with the girl part, but I myself would count yandere characters as beasts as well and there's a lot of white dudes there
I think there's a big difference between characters who are literally portrayed as beasts or beast men or slaves, vs. yandere characters who have arguably dodgy personalities.
There's a long history of this and unfortunately it's done consciously and subsciously, which makes it harder to combat.
