Basically Law was obsessed with Jesse even before his mom gave him that huge catalog to memorize. All his subservient attitude towards Jesse was also what he wanted. He didn't feel degraded or resentment towards Jesse. Jesse though genuinely came to care for Law. Thats why he got angry at his mother for causing the accident that killed Law's parents. And got upset when he realized that Law doesn't give a sh*it whether his parents lived or died so he too distanced himself from Law. Thats why Law drugged Jesse and put him in Moritat. Replaying it again and again till he got his desired results. Hence all the confusion and twists. Then when they got outta the Moritat. Law gave same crap about how I have enough of living with you since i was admin in Moritat so I have over 20 years worth of memories of you. I did all of this cause I hoped that you would choose me as an equal if u didn't have anything else. But I am tired of you now. Then later on Jesse met that maid. She was looking for a job cause Law doesn't need workers anymore he just sits in Moritat all day. Then Jesse went to see him again to verify what the maid said. And realized that Law spew all that crap about wanting to choose him as an equal. He just wanted a lifetime of memories with Jesse cause he thought Jesse would never choose him. And when in Moritat, Jesse choose him, he couldn't handle being on equal terms because he wanted to be subservient. Jesse realized all that and that Law wants him too (I wouldn't use love here. No!) so they ended up together. That why Law is Jesse's weak, pathetic and beautiful (yet dangerously psychotic) puppy in the end.
