I 100% agree w you but I think this is one of the rare occasions the size difference actually does makes sense (dr seok being incredibly weak and frail and major kwak being a high ranking military officer). But then again, I did also observed the switch in how they drew dr seok and it was off putting . Compared to other stories, it doesn’t rlly bother me as much here tho

theyre really disagreeing w u for this but ur absolutely right its kind of genuinely uncomfortable how in a lot of bls the difference between the mc and ml is so huge theres no reason why a grown ass man should have the facial features of a child no matter how frail and weak he is physically Im sure the author can draw a normal skinny pale guy, and i guarantee that with the exact same plot if dr seok were the top his facial features would be completely different

I know what you mean. To me it’s always off putting when the bottom looks like a little girl. Here it’s not that bad, but it’s still the stereotypical feminine and small bottom. I think the issue is that they changed how they draw MC to be even more feminine and shota like, that's what’s so jarring. The artist is taking some liberties.

Im actually more offended at the fact they called it "borderline shota", just because he looks more feminine now is no reason for them to say that. If you look at His body proportions he still looks like an adult, it's just his face more on the cute side rather than the pretty side and there's no need to call it "borderline" shota just because a character looks like that. Have you see adult female characters in manhwa? It's almost the same sort of figure and people gotta make everything weird, and it just shows how weird they are themselves. (I originally wanted to pass this off lightly but since you claim im "taking this as an attack on the story" i wish to clarify things)

bruh i did not mean to offend you, i just found the change in the art of the recent chaps is a bit weird is all.? and i think ive seen enough mangas/manhwas with feminine characters to know when theyre done justice and when theyre taken for granted...anyway as far as the shota comment goes i was just tryna make my point i didnt think much of it.
and im not even gonna deny it (maybe i am a little weird lol)

Just enjoy it. He’s prettier now I just don’t see the issue with the style change. Besides his face, yea in a few panels he looks more child-ish but his body proportions are far from that of a child and to think that when it’s clearly not is just a bit weird.
(Sorry I don’t mean to sound so serious cause I don’t like to argue with ppl online. I’ve been following the artist on TW a lot and I look back at the art a lot especially at Dr.Seok and I just don’t see how the style change could be that weird) naturally we all have our preferences but I do think the artist made him cuter on purpose for him to look more “hamster like” cause she compares him to hamsters a lot and not that of actual children.

Sis you have a point with the shota comment, it happens pretty often in yaoi. Artists like making bottoms look kind of like children sometimes and it’s weird. It’s so prevalent that it is reasonable to mention it. While here it’s not that extreme, I think it’s reasonable to bring it up with the style change.

That is just your imagination girl, I honestly Haare no idea what you’re talking about. When I see criticism on this work I always try to offer them the novel and try to understand where they are coming from. Never once have I intended to use an offended tone, I apologize if I sound that way cause I just want to get the facts. Yes people have the right to comment but I am also curious ad to see where they come from and offer them my own perspective as well.

Also if you are referring to when that person who came around said that the character actions are random, and I replied to them. It’s just your imagination, again I’m sorry if I sound offended when I just wanted to offer them the novel and try to make their opinions a bit better rather than just simply disagreeing and this comment was the first I actually disagreed. Yes he may look younger but that doesn’t mean he looks like a child. I just cannot see how a man of this size could be a “child” sure his eyes are bigger, and his jaw is more rounded but that still does not mean a character looks like a “child” so much do you have to call it “borderline shota”
Believe me I love this story as much as the next reader but can the artist at least try to make Dr Seok look like an adult? I know it is a challenging task to draw a man with normal body proportions for yaoi artists both physically and morally but the borderline shota con-ification does not fw me
