He watched her die 39 times and did nothing, and then suddenly decided to jump at her rescue when she wasn't in actual death threat( remember castor said it himself that he didn't swing his sword with the intent to kill and so did that duke) ofc he's having guilt moments rn and trying for redemption, but those 39 deaths were still real and vivid in her memory so it's only natural she'd hate him , in fact it'd be even weirder if she didn't!
