Guys I hope people won't hate Elder Tang Wei too much. I'm currently reading the novel and he's actually the reason why I'm crying right now ╥O╥
The author gave the readers some insight about Elder Tang Wei and it feels like my heart is being squeezed so painfully. He's just a pedantic old man who will realize how wrong his way of thought was and redeem himself while protecting the women and children of Tang Clan until the end. He grabbed Jeokho's arm while he is being continually slashed by Jeokho to poison him and delay the chase.(remember he did this while being a non-martial artist because he already lost his martial arts after the fight with Chung Myung.He was just an ordinary old man who wanted to protect the women and children of the Tang Clan despite his old and weak body)
The part I'm reading right now is about the war with the Evil Tyrant Alliance.Tang Gunak and the other strong members of the Tang Clan are far away, this is so fucking hard to read right now because the Tang Clan is being massacred. Chung Myung is incapacitated, critically injured. Baek Cheon is also critically injured,had his dantian broken to save Chung Myung and is coughing black blood. Yoo Iseol is severely injured. Jo Gol and Yoon Jong are also injured, tho not as severe as the others, they're very weak right now.Tang Soso,as the only doctor with them,is also injured and extremely mentally drained.Hye Yeon, Tang Pae, Namgung Dowi, and Seoul So Beak are also injured but all of them with the rest of the Heavenly Comrade Alliance are hurrying to rescue the Tang Clan even tho they knew they might already be too late. I'm still reading this part so I don't know if the Tang Clan will survive, they also don't have their home anymore in Sichuan and are currently being chased and massacred (at this part of the novel, all of the members of the Emei Sect and QingCheng Sect has already been killed)
Edit: After Emei Sect and QingCheng Sect, Diancang Sect has also collapsed.
Chung Myung's body has been partially stabilized,and is back to his nagging grandpa self. Baek Cheon is not talking about his severe condition. The others are recovering but they can still fight now.
Tang Clan has survived BUT they have lost too many things. Tang Jeopyeong, Tang Bo's grandson and the only character in the series who knows Chung Myung's true identity, has passed away. Too many of them died, the Tang Family has lost their home, weapons, and poisons (as a family known for assassination and poison,you can imagine what that means).
Tang Gunak was so lost with what to do with the current Tang Family. He had a conversation with Chung Myung on what to do from now on. Chung Myung,as Tang Bo's best friend, gave some advice to Tang Gunak,but he ultimately left it to Tang Gunak on what to do.(Chung Myung secretly cried in this scene because through Tang Gunak, he could see what happened to the children of Mount Hua Sect a hundred years ago after all of the adults of the sect died. How lost the children of the Mount Hua sect were,who were waiting for Chung Myung and the other adults to come back,only to be slapped with the reality that no one came back alive.)
