Bc his side story was infinitely more interesting than the main couple's. Also bc the author made it super weird lol If they hated the character bc he was a scum then why waste yours and your readers' time on his side story and make him sympathetic? And then drop a whole "haha I never liked him now I'm dropping this story". it was basically torture porn too, like???? what was even the lesson learned there? that bad people should get consequences and be punished with gang rape but their rapists don't???? so he gets raped but rapists get off scot free???? but i thought rapists are to be punished??? it was just a hot mess. And his love interest was truly the most spineless man I have ever seen.

I side with Do Hyeok because his narrative carries far more weight and depth than the main story. The main couple’s arc revolves around repetitive cycles of lust, jealousy, shallow tension, and high school-level emotional swings. Do Hyeok’s story actually feels like it was written for adults. His journey is rooted in emotional repression, familial pressure, and the psychological toll of living his life.
It’s so messy, but it’s far more compelling than a storyline that relies on recycled tropes and unresolved drama. Dohyeok's story is more weighty-meaty-spicy than the main story, I bet.
