It really wasn’t. It’s clear MC has always done this shxt. Half-commit to projects he invests in, drop it, then pursue someone who won’t date him, get his heart broken and sleep around. It’s a pattern his friend was tired to see. He called ML an impurity because it meant MC wasn’t pursuing this new passion project for himself, but to show off to someone else.
