I reread it (My memory is really bad) Maythan does stutter a LOT. In ch 61 it was okay because he was worried and (I don't remember the word! Sorry) Also him and Ian calling each other bro is really awkward
Hey it's okay, words aren't my strong suit either. But yeah..those two calling each other bro just seems kinda out of place for me. It's awkward and just kinda seems like it's forced in(??) if that makes sense. Also, the stuttering thing after rereading it myself does happen more than I remembered, I guess I just picked up on it more in the recent chapters.
Going back to your original point, It sucks when authors start to damsel in distress previously strongish (well not really in his case but still) characters. I've seen this in a lot of manhwas, especially ones where there are more than one love interest. Girls, boys, none are safe from the 'helpless dumbass lamb' (as I so dub it) trope.
I feel like maythan is becoming dumber each chapter like he was independent (kinda) Now whenever something happens he can't do anything other than being saved
