I mean, not to delve into stereotypical aspects of psychopathy, but often times they are highly intellingent and work on manipulation. At this point I would expect a psychiatrist to know they could put up a front and lie about it, that's why they should do extensive exams, and anyway the parents wounds could serve as proof
He was born a psychopath, if they really loved him they would lock him up in a mental hospital ASAP
