also people in the comments arent getting the theme of this story and the psychology behind it. they dismiss it as something "easy" to fix

Remember more than half the people on this site are kids. That's part of the problem.

so true.. i read the comments and i just laughed so hard... seriously..

yaoi with rape = Cursing author bec. of "romanticizing rape"
yaoi with bdsm = (this is new) glamorizing physical assault...

people nowadays are way too stressed with their lives that they keep on de-stressing by cursing every yaoi troupes that had existed since yaoi has been introduced..

seriously,, we should put in the plot summary things like "naive ones who wants mushy and fluffy yaoi.. keep out"

this way, we can avoid so many complaints of these self-proclaimed righteous individuals that keep on bashing the authors despite knowing themselves that what they're reading is yaoi

You really don't know much about BDSM, do you? Where are the safe-word, the aftercare and the informed consent in here? Eh?

Hm, when you think more about it, "Don't like don't read" is never a good argument. People need to read something in order to know whether they like it or not, and it's confusing when you don't clarify what they're supposed to like or not like (the abuse itself, the way the author tells it, or the accurate portrayal of the feelings involved in an abuse? Because each person may have different opinions on each of those). And also, it's an easily "back to you" kind of argument: people may just argue back, "Same can be said for my comment. Don't like it, then don't read it".
...On the other hand, I do agree people need to understand the psychology behind this (behind the two bro's behavior, at least). I agree it's not somethng easy for the two brothers to fix, but personally I think it might be for the other characters in the story, the grown-ups: the cousin and his dad could be doing more to help. If the sad ending that the translator hinted at is what I think may happen (little bro dying or old bro commiting suicide out of guilt, or sth else, as a consequence of the abuse) then it'll be on their shoulders for not doing anything to prevent it.

    how do I know that I won't like if I don't read?
    there's neither a synopsis, nor violence/abuse tag
just like some poeple expressing their appreciation toward the work, others can also express their disapproval.
neither of them should feel offensed about the other's view

    peace !
