Well seme in his Wolf form is actually in heat really and not totally conscious... Although he's really a green flag in any form puppy just gets scared of his size and hides under the bed till he changes back.

(From what I remember from the novel) Seme hasn't been shifting because he didn't want to hurt the pup, that's why he's been in pain from the build up of pheromones(?). But he loses his reason when he shifts and attacks people, so he goes after the MC but MC shifts into puppy form and hides under the bed. Seme wakes up the next morning anxious that he hurt the pup because his wolf form tore up the bed/pillows but then MC comes out from under the bed and they talk it out
