Actually not even cliff. He would play along but he’s not stupid. He’s always known about reeze and her stunts. He just loves her (read as obsessed with her) unconditionally cause he’s messed up himself.

at this point the only person who'd actually believe edith did it would be cliff, if the others try, I DARE THEM, to even see edith as suspicious istg I'd go insane. We already know cliff and reeze lied about her helping her family pull that crap whatever that was against the palace or whatever
