what I know is that Furuya can't go back to play since he was subbed by Aso last time. Remember the part where he hit and then run through 3rd base and got out? unless coach kataoka had sent him play as left fielder then he can always take the mound anytime.

I'd be questioning who the mc really is if furuya is asked to step in in the last inning. The author always shows furuya's face whenever eijun is the main focus and that makes me anxious af like go back down furuya come back when you're a main character
