What we know is that the government acknowledges them and considers them as minority. They give benefits to those who marries or adopts them. However, it seems that they’re only a daily occurrence in that town as it is said that a lot of them gathers at that town because of Lauchen-san and the mc pointed out that it’s the first time that most ppl in the train are seeing a cryptid. It also seems that they’re not treated that well outside of the town based on how the rat girl reacted, she was scared of being seen by humans and thinks kanenogi is lucky to be taken care of.
Is there like any explanation abt how those creatures are everyday sceneries to these ppl and why they're able to marry humans?? If there isnt it's so creepy as heck cuz dang it's a bit unsettling for some weird reason idk of
