I understood it as he slept around before they officially got together, so when they weren’t dating yet just talking. I usually don’t like the main character or the love interest sleeping around while pursuing the other romantically, but Blondie slept with another girl first, when they still weren’t together but brown hair said to take it more seriously (?or something similar) so I take it as they’re even now and weren’t dating then so they should get over it and get together properly.
