Asahikawa hit his head recently and just started seeing a ghost hunt Aragaki. The ghost tells Asahikawa that Aragaki likes him but Asahikawa freaks out.
Asahikawa goes to Aragaki to warn him about the ghost but Aragaki is already aware of it.
He reveals that he and Asahikawa were dating but Asahikawa can't remember being in any kind of relationship with Aragaki. Aragaki thinks that the ghost is the spirit of Asahikawa or more specifically his lost memories.
In the present day at the nurse's office Aragaki thinks back to the first day he and Asahikawa started talking which was on the first day of the school year. Aragaki fainted from being too nervous during the self introduction. Asahikawa brought him to the nurse's office and tried to cheer him up.
Sooo... the time line is basically this
Start of the year the Entrance ceremony. Asahikawa and Aragaki meet.
Asahikawa and Aragaki get close end somehow start dating.
Asahikawa hits his head at the park and loses his memory. (He probably started not noticing Aragaki as he didn't remember being friends with him, which possibly could have explaind how distant Aragaki was behaving in the first chapter. He was already insecure and now someone who he thought he was close with presumably started ignoring him so he just accepted that he was along again)
Present day. Asahikawa starts seeing the ghost and the story unfolds from there.
