i see what you mean since he's completely new, also weird, and kind of an opposing side to the white haired guy. but personally, i just want mc a chance to be happy because mc genuinely looks happy with both of them - i just see white haired guy guy disappointing him sooner than new guy does
I honestly just barely like The white hair dude and MC bc Mc is weak and doesn't have like character development at all and the white haired dude is always there to save him but at least white hair "cares" about him in his own way rather than all the other selfish people Mc has met.

i'm trying to believe that white hair cares but like i'm not seeing it it really just seems like everything he is doing is covered by the fact that he likes mc and is doing it for mc when really he's just doing it to have mc himself. i saw this especially when he took everyone out after the promise or whatever they made. addressing your spoiler, i figured he'd be a bad person... i was just holding out hope
tbh i like this new character better he's a little sus but like he actually interacts with mc... cuz tell me why the white haired psycho was ignoring mc until mc touched him. and i feel like he's always thinking about something else while mc is trying to talk to him istg. like if ur gonna be a crazy possessive freak to your crush, can't you spare some time to listen to the person you like
