From what I’ve gathered, it will. There was an issue with the previous publisher of Codeana (Horizon) mistreating Han, the author, and forcing her to work even when she was unwell (you can sort of tell from one specific panel in chapter 31 towards the end where Zhenya was holding a glass of some alcoholic drink and his pinky finger was looking a little off). On Han’s twitter, she announced that Codeana will return for its second season under a new publisher in 2025 but we don’t have a confirmed date yet. Is the author and the artist the same person? Or is the manhwa based on a novel? I mean if the issue is with the publisher, it won't affect the art right?
Nope! Author and artist are two different people. The issue lies with the publisher of the manhwa that’s based on a novel which is pretty easy to find online which I recommend reading if you haven’t already. The problem with the publisher was that the artist was being rushed with the deadlines, overworked and given no breaks even when she was unwell and it had begun to affect the art. I don’t remember noticing it too much when reading codeana initially, but when you compare the art to the newer chapters of codeana and this manhwa, it’s quite noticeable. In short, I think the artist just wasn’t working in the best conditions, and it eventually caught up to her and began affecting her work— hopefully that makes sense ╮(￣▽￣)╭
