I forgot he was shot and even there (his very existence) at the end was focused on the grown up Demian instead ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

For the info didn't write it with the rest. Don't know spoilers but since an artifact was used (and magic is involved) and the one that appeared has black hair and eyes i assume its the artifact's effect and that its Demian.
