Same.. I hate it too when the teacher tells you to form a group. Can't they form your group? Ending up alone sucks.

I used to hate it back when I was a student. But when the context is work related and you're not at school anymore, it's important to know how to talk and work with others. So it's fine to go up to people and ask to join.
Usually, when older, people are mature enough to not be jerk for the heck of it and turn you down

Ohh...I hate when you have to form a group or look for a partner for projects when you don't have any friends in a particular class. That's why for those kinds of classes I prefer for the group to already be assigned by the teacher. I feel you, Semin...Sitting there like a loner and embarrassed, not knowing what to do while everyone is grouping up with their friends/people they know well enough.
