This is a romance ofc people find it romantic. Just look at the comments people romanticize Caesars behaviour constantly. Caesar being fucked up like he is isn't meant to be taken as genuinely concerning, it's supposed to be a demonstration of how he just wuvvvvsss Leewon sooo muchhhh. Leewon will inevitably forgive everything he does because ohhh sure he's a bit silly in the head but they just love each other so gosh darn much! And this isn't "messy" this is a man being abused and literally fearing for his life because his "lover" is insane and needs to be shot dead. But that isn't going to happeennnnnnn because it's a "romance." I'd be genuinely happy if they break up in the end and might even raise my rating to two stars (I'd put it up to 3 if Caesar died), but I sincerely doubt that's gonna happen.

Someone always says it because you appear to need reminding, especially since you keep reading a story you personally hate so much that you can't let ppl enjoy it without accusing them of romanticising abuse. I promise you aren't special or unique. Everyone knows the relationship being depicted is messed up. Nobody actually wants this IRL. The difference is they know not to take the story seriously, while they would take the abuse IRL seriously.
I do agree with separating reality with fiction-- depending on what it is. Like this-- I don't think this is romantic-- Has cute moments but think he's a pos and shouldn't be romanticize for inrl. I also agree with you on people finding this romantic-- I also value your opinion on it and others shouldn't look down on you for it. I like comedy with tragic and smut-- Cause it's interesting.
