Isn't the dynamic between the ML and the MC very strange then? The ML is seeing him as a potential love interest when as you said everyone views him as a child, including himself. That gives me the heebie jeebies. Not saying you are wrong or anything, this is just me adding my opinion onto yours!

i agree i agree. theres this trope that happens a lot in media where basically love interests who are introduced to a new world will act immaturely in order to express child-like wonder despite being fully grown/looking like fully grown adults. its smt where it definitely caters towards a certain.. audience, but isnt explicitly pdfilia so all of a sudden, its okay

ML didn't see him as potential lover tho. His reaction like blushing a little bit might lead to ML being sexually interested, but what ML have for MC more likely to be affection. He care like he would to a precious pet. Now that pet turns into human, he's bit confused how he truly feels. But it's not leaning to sexual appeal.
When he was a bird, he act immaturely and you call it cute. Now he has human body, you all annoyed. He didn't act like a child, he IS a child. Ever since he entered that world, he didn't have the same wisdom and maturity like he was in previous world. His mind level follow the age of the body he possessed. Despite him having the knowledge of him growing into adult in previous world, his mental level isn't the same in this world. That's why characters around him keep calling him 'KID' despite him having grown man body.
