exactlyyy, it was already hinted when he had some kinda nightmare or smth, like a shadow was insulting him, hinting at his past trauma. that guy last season who had a match with him and cheated also knew him before, he might've been his bully too
At this point I don't see any believable redemption arc for JK cause this man is so oblivious to his actions, extremely self-centered and has lack of empathy, like how he is gonna come clean I can't wrap my head around. Like okay he is chasing Dan, but he shows 0 regret for his actions; he just chases him for selfish reasons again, not showing any remorse. Even when he finds him, he prolly gonna blame Dan for "running away" and "leaving" him. The author didn't show ONE... just one good quality about him all this time, so I'm afraid the redemption arc will be either weak or not believable/out of character.
