Just a theory! Idk for sure but …
Do you know in Asian cultures they call a lot of people “younger” than them “a child” ( like a lot of 30+ year olds refer to people in their 20s as “kid” or hell I even heard some say “they’re just babies”. They do this to signify that the 20 year old is new to adulthood. While in America we’re gifted that title at 18) if all these beings existed at the same time and one has a “younger” more naive persona the older personas are bound to refer to that persona as “a child” even if they’re based on a 20+ year old.

    Fr my Viet mom is in her 50s and she calls my teachers (27-30+ year olds) kids still, I can confirm this

    Yeah my bestie is Asian and her mom calls all of us kids we’re 26
