'show me ur acting' -doesn't provide an acting guide, direction, or specify it's that piece-
mc: -delivers like wild-
director or w/e: 'wow, amazing. talent. but not the vibe i wanted for my character'
MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD HIM ACT THE CHARACTER???? why call him in lol you've seen his acting in previous works. i mean we all know he will probs land the role but i can't handle dumb shits wasting peoples time

IKR. He could of asked our MC to act from the script of the drama itself.

Isn't it specifically because of that alot of good moments come from people adlibing, getting engrossed in the character and truly feeling their emotions. In some forms of method acting they brain wash their actors to feel their deepest traumatizing emotion in order to link with some characters. Ofc having a guide is good but would it be no different from listening to a teacher lecture then u get a test but the teacher wants u to just write what he said so inherently u don't think about why your writing it. It's the same thing for singers they have to find their own vibe and some will be burden down by the artist they grew up listening and copying to. Ofc having direction isn't a bad thing but the director wants someone he can work with to create something not a brainless fool who only follows directions. The best example imo is the sixth sense, the kid who said "I can see dead people". Do u know how terrifying it would be, to be a young kid who see people who've slit their wrist, got hung, had their heads blown out and some just vomiting everywhere but because he has no one to talk too and he's scared his mom will abandon him because he's "weird" that he still tries to deal with it maturely but will still lash out as a child because he's scared and it doesn't feel forced but then u look at child actors in this generation i.e. spy kids where even if it is fantasy and unrealistic there's a lack of relationship building between the characters and no charisma

sorry i honestly didn't read half of this since i just woke up and i'm half dead. but addressing where i got to; a guide as in "the drama/film we're meeting you over is X genre or Y genre. can you show me some acting with that feeling?' because i don't remember if they mentioned the work they called him in over & i have yet to read the new chapter but like if he starts acting a mental patient as his audition & the actual work is a fluffy romcom or a touching coming of age story or something completely opposite - it's not going to be helpful. usually you'd just give a vague idea. it's on the actor to run with it but it's on the director to provide /DIRECTION/

Yeah even if the director choose other actor..was he also positive that the other actor can deliver the same amount of scting like mc ? Or if not ..will he just gave the same excuses, move on and find another actor and repeat these cycle again and again?
