Depends on how the specific candy is made. Some of them have a little less salt in them and salt on the outside so you taste the salt more. And some have more salt in and in the outside. All Carmel has salt in it...often salted Carmel only has slightly more. And sometimes it does have an did lot...have to read labels or make it yourself. Which is super fun.
